Financial Literacy for All
Financial know-how is a set of skills that everyone can learn, but research shows that these skills are concentrated in the middle and upper socioeconomic classes. Families with the least knowledge are most vulnerable, which exacerbates economic inequality. The good news is that even young children can be taught the basics of finance and economics and the concepts of savings and debt. With just a little effort, you can ensure that students in your afterschool programs build their understanding of finance and how to handle their own money. This workshop will enable participants to build financial concepts into program activities for every age group. Join us to learn more about new tools available on Y4Y to help out-of-school time practitioners build financial concepts into program activities.
